Karingal streamlines employment programs
16 July 2007
Disability Employment Network (DEN) and Vocational Rehabilitation Service (VRS) programs, previously delivered by SupportWorks, now
operate under the MatchWorks brand. This came into effect on July 1.
This move comes as a result of anticipated changes to government policy, with the possibility of contracts being streamlined in the future. The SupportWorks name and brand will no longer be trading as such under Karingal.
Chief Executive of Karingal Daryl Starkey said: “Karingal, through the MatchWorks brand, will continue to focus on supporting persons with disability into employment. The major benefit of this re branding is that Karingal will have a single brand for open employment services through MatchWorks. This helps pave the way for simple, clear messages on the services we provide and where these services are located, which in turn gives us a stronger brand in the marketplace.”
Existing management arrangements will remain. Karen Rainbow’s title will be General Manager Employment Support, and she retains management of Disability Employment Network and Vocational Rehabilitation Service programs. Julie Graham remains General Manager MatchWorks (Job Network, Personal Support Programme and Work for the Dole)
MatchWorks provides the following services:
• Disability Employment Network
• Job Network
• Personal Support Programme
• Vocational Rehabilitation Service
• Work for the Dole
