Inaugural 730 Club Breakfast a resounding success
10 September 2008
Community-minded businesses turned out bright and early recently to attend BacLinks Inaugural 730 Club Breakfast held at the Mercure Hotel Geelong.
Apart from the sumptuous breakfast, 730 Club members enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the BacLinks program and meet other like minded businesses. Lisa Kingman, of Kingman Consulting, did an absolutely wonderful job as emcee, ensuring the event atmosphere was bright and entertaining for the broad range of socially committed business attendees.
“It was a fabulous, refreshing breakfast meeting” said Belinda Murphy, Media Executive, Sensis Pty Ltd, “Good pace, light and to the point. It was also such a good feeling to be in a room full of like-minded community supporters”.
Members were also given an opportunity to ask questions of Sheree Holdsworth, BacLinks Manager and to provide valuable input as to what they would like to get out of the Breakfast Club series. “It is the member’s breakfast” said Ms Holdsworth, “We want our members to know we are committed to assisting them to get the best outcomes from their community involvement”.
The Breakfast provided an opportunity to present Membership plaques, along with a surprise gift of a BacLinks ‘Barrel of Monkeys’, symbolising the strength in links between business and community.
