Karalee is a low care, dementia specific and Commonwealth approved aged care service.
Karingal is an approved and registered aged care provider.
The special way Karalee delivers individualised care ensures that a person’s cultural, spiritual and physical needs are not only met, but nurtured and valued and their independence and lifestyle choices respected.
At Karalee we understand that everyone’s needs are different.
Situated close to the Barwon River and surrounded by beautiful gardens, Karalee is an ideal home that exudes warmth in a serene environment.
Karalee houses 28 residents. 27 are permanent residents and one place is for respite.
Facilities and Services
- Meals - Onsite chefs cater for residents with fresh and nutritious meals prepared daily. The main meal is served for lunch. All meals are designed to meet the dietary requirements of each individual.
- Visiting hours - Visiting hours are flexible and designed to suit residents, their families and friends.
- Laundry - All personal laundry is done within the facility.
- Rooms - Each resident has a private room.
- Religious Services - A church service is run weekly on Tuesday. We try to cater for different religions by asking various denominations to take a Service.
- Leisure & Lifestyle - Residents at Karalee are encouraged to maintain an active social lifestyle. Karalee runs regular bus outings for residents and various activities such as music, concerts, dance, garden walks, pet therapy, games and reading.
- Hairdresser - Every Friday a hairdresser is available for residents to have trims, colours, perms or sets.
- Podiatrist - Every 6 weeks this service is available for residents.
- Physio - A physiotherapist visits regularly to assess the needs of the residents for their mobility and safety.
- Medications - Medications are supplied by Pardys Priceline in Market Square, however residents can choose to have their own chemist.

At Karalee we respect the right of residents and their families. Karalee is a true home for our residents and we encourage feedback from residents and families to enable us to improve their home.
